MI Write lessons are designed to help you improve your writing skills. Lessons may be recommended to you by MI Write or by your teacher.

Lessons Recommended by MI Write

After submitting an essay, lessons may be recommended by MI Write based on the score you receive for each writing trait. To complete a recommended lesson, go to your Score Report and scroll down to the Writing Analysis. Click on the lesson title. 

Lessons Assigned by Your Teacher

If a lesson has been assigned to you by your teacher, it will appear on the Home tab. Scroll to Assigned Lessons and click Start Lesson. 

You can also click on the Lessons tab at the top of the page. Under My Lesson Activity, click on the drop-down menu or click a lesson title to view and complete a lesson. 

• Each lesson is interactive, requiring you to drag, drop, click, or answer questions to help practice the skill.
• The lessons are not designed to provide a grade or a score.
• If you answer a part of the lesson wrong, you can go back and try again until you are successful.
• Change screenshot lesson to “A Different Kind of Fun”

Lessons may also be recommended by MI Write in an essay Score Report in the Writing Analysis section. 

Lesson Library

You can access all MI Write lessons at any time. From the Lessons tab, go to the Lesson Library. 

You can select a Category of lessons. There are lessons for each of the traits of writing, as well as grammar and passage exercises.

Lessons can also be filtered by Difficulty Level. 

In addition to the lesson title, the difficulty level, approximate completion time, and status are shown. To view the full lesson description, hover over the Description. Click the title of a lesson you want to view or complete.
